Comply with relevant educational procedures

Every education employer (be it the Local Education Authority, Board of Governors or Trustees) will have its own specific procedures and guidance around the planning and operation of school visits. It is the responsibility of the school to ensure that they are aware of these and comply with them.

The DFES guidance document Health and safety of pupils on educational visits provides some background information and key contacts.
