You should notify the school in writing of any restrictions to the visit. For example, if the tour will only be suitable for able-bodied students and does include stairs, or if the atmosphere is dusty and will not be suitable for anyone suffering from asthma.

You should also notify the school in writing of any particular instructions or requirements, e.g. stout footwear to be worn, warm or wet weather clothing will be required, or loose clothing and hair prohibited.
